START WALKING
Walking is in your DNA. We have been doing it since the beginning of time. Walking isnt just a healthy form of exercise, its an essential part of life. Our bodies break down when we lounge around but thrive when we use this gentle exercise:
-Walking is the ultimate body and mind detox
-Walking lowers the stress hormone cortisol
- Walking teaches us to slow down
-Walking increases longevity along with many other health benefits
What does Dave think? ‘
I make an effort to walk frequently. I just feel better after walking. It gets me outside, gets me enjoying creation, get the blood flowing and the mind slowing.
What is your favourite walk?

CHECK OUT CROSSFIT
Crossfit is the most effective strength and conditioning programme I have ever come across. It is fully inclusive of all ages and abilities and will get anyone moving better and feeling better.
Crossfit isnt so much about aimless “body sculpting” but drives to forge a broad, general, inclusive fitness.
The training method involves gymnastic/body weight movements, Olympic lifting/barbell movements, metabolic conditioning/running etc and much more!
What does Dave think?
I train my clients/classes and myself with this approach. It works harmoniously.
Would love to chat to your further about Crossfit, just give me a call or message! Check out 2013 Crossfit game highlights!

EAT (some) DAIRY
Dairy has got a lot of bad press of late. Handled in the right way it is a potent addition to many a diet.
EASIEST to HARDEST to Digest:
-Raw, fermented, full-fat dairy (Cultured butter, yogurt, kefir, cheese) Fermentation takes care of most of the lactose
- Raw, high-fat dairy (Butter/Ghee- Kerry Gold is best as the cows are fed on grass!)
- Raw milk. (jersey milk A2 is best, you can buy from modbury farm)
-Organic full fat, hormone and antibiotic-free dairy
-Non organic, homogenized, pasteurized (cows themselves can’t survive on pasteurized milk!)
What does Dave think?
I daily have homemade yogurt and kefir made from raw milk. I enjoy butter too! Many people freak out when I chat to them about raw dairy, but I would argue that raw milk from a vigorously tested, organic farm that has stood the test of time is safe in my eyes. Studies do show that there have been more cases of TB in pasteurized milk over raw but I guess the debate will always rage on. On another note many cultures never drink milk in its raw state, but ferment it in some way to make it more digestible, perhaps we should take note.
If you are lactose intolerant please try goats milk. It is superior over cows milk, and if its quality shouldn’t taste “goaty”
Any goat fans?!

AVOID NON- STICK
I know its magic to cook with! Before I give you the bad news lets put this in perspective. Stress kills you. So stressing about your cookware will do you far more harm, I am just providing you with knowledge, so either apply it or don’t worry about it. The choice is yours.
Now Non-stick has a nasty chemical known as PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) in it. (look it up). So it isnt ideal applying temperature to it, whilst it is in contact with your food. What is worse is when it flakes off into your yummy dinner.
What does Dave think?
You can simply change your non-stick cookware with inexpensive stainless steel or cast iron. These are the best alternatives.
Anyone going to make the plunge and say good bye to non stick??

LAUGH OFTEN
It’s the best medicine. Don’t take yourself too seriously and get around others that make you laugh!
What does Dave think?
Just spilled cocoa over the new rug as writing this…I will try and laugh it off…Tracey might not find it so funny…
